Grow a Garden Mutations List: Multipliers & How to Get Them
All 169 mutations in Grow a Garden — the exact multiplier for each one, how to get it, whether it stacks and what it is worth on the crops you are growing.
Multipliers run from x2 for common weather effects up to x500 for the rarest event mutations. 37 of the 169 cannot be found in the wild at all — they are fused from other mutations, which is the only route past roughly x200.

Mutations multiply a crop's sell price in Grow a Garden. Each mutation applies a fixed multiplier, ranging from x2 for common weather effects up to x500 for the rarest event mutations. Multipliers stack, so several mutations on one high-value crop multiply together for a higher sell price than any single mutation.

How to get mutations
There is no single way to mutate a crop. Each of the 169 mutations belongs to one of these routes, and only the 37 combination mutations have to be crafted.
Appear on their own while the matching weather or event is active. No purchase — the only cost is timing your harvest.
Applied by one specific pet when its ability fires, for example the Kitsune pet when it steals a crop.
Not found in the wild at all — you fuse two other mutations into it. This is the only route to the top multipliers.
Fired by a consumable item or an admin-style effect rather than by waiting for the right conditions.
Applied automatically by sprinkler items while they are running over your plots.
No trigger to activate at all — a small chance the mutation appears by itself when the crop is harvested.
Mutation combination chart
37 mutations cannot be triggered directly — you fuse other mutations into them. Fusing is the only way past roughly x200, so every entry below is a chain step: fuse the sources first, then fuse the result again.

Molten mutation: the x25 disaster-weather multiplier
Molten is a x25 mutation in Grow a Garden — one of the highest single multipliers available. It is triggered during disaster-class weather: Volcano, Super Storm, or Armageddon.
Because Molten multiplies the crop's entire sell value by 25, it rewards preparation: keep high-value crops planted and harvest-ready when disaster weather is likely, so the event lands on your most expensive plants rather than empty plots. A ¢120,000 crop becomes ¢3,000,000 under Molten.
Disaster events are rarer than everyday weather, which is exactly why Molten harvests out-earn whole sessions of plain farming. Check which crops carry the best base values, and hold mature harvests for these windows.

Chakra mutation family: multipliers explained (x15 to x190)
Chakra is a x15 mutation applied by the Kitsune pet when it steals a crop — instead of losing the stolen crop's value, the crop returns carrying the Chakra multiplier. That makes Chakra the entry point of the strongest mutation family in Grow a Garden.
The family scales upward: Harmonised Chakra multiplies by x35, Foxfire Chakra and Corrupt Foxfire Chakra both reach x90, and Harmonised Foxfire Chakra — formed by combining Foxfire Chakra — tops the chain at x190. Each step multiplies a crop's sell value by that factor before weight and other effects.
The reason players chase this chain is the ceiling: a ¢90,000 Elder Strawberry harvest under Harmonised Foxfire Chakra is worth ¢17,100,000. Getting there means running Kitsune, letting steals land, and building toward the combinations — see the related mutations below for each step's trigger.

Amber mutation: x10 multiplier and how to apply it
Amber is a x10 mutation in Grow a Garden. Unlike weather mutations that arrive by chance, Amber is applied by using the Mutation Spray item on a crop — a deliberate action rather than a weather roll.
That difference changes the strategy. Weather mutations like Windstruck (x2) or Blazing depend on being in the right place at the right time; Amber depends on obtaining and spending a Mutation Spray. Since the spray is a limited resource, the correct use is on your highest base-value crop — multiplying a ¢166,000 Romanesco harvest to ¢1,660,000 beats multiplying almost anything else.
Think of Amber as targeted value: save it for endgame crops, apply it right before a harvest you intend to sell, and let the x10 do more work than a whole day of unmultipled farming.

Mutations FAQ
How do mutations work in Grow a Garden?
Mutations are effects that multiply a crop's sell value. Each has a fixed multiplier (from x2 up to x500) and is triggered by specific conditions such as weather, events, admin abilities or special items. When a crop mutates, its final sell price is the base value times the mutation multiplier (and weight).
Can you stack multiple mutations on one crop?
Yes. A single crop can carry several mutations at once, and their multipliers combine. Stacking high-value mutations like Rainbow, Gold and weather effects raises the sell price higher than any single mutation.
Can favorited plants get mutations?
Yes, favoriting a plant only protects it from being sold or shovelled by accident. It does not stop mutations. A favorited crop can still gain mutations from weather, events and other triggers while it is planted.
What is the highest mutation multiplier in Grow a Garden?
Goldsparkle currently has the highest multiplier at x500. Other top-tier mutations include Astral (x365), Stormbound (x270), Cosmic (x240).
How do I get a specific mutation?
Every mutation is triggered by one specific condition. 68 appear during matching weather or events, 37 are applied by a particular pet ability and 22 come from items or admin-style effects. The remaining 37 are combination mutations — you never find those in the wild, you fuse them from other mutations using the combination chart above.
