Grow a Garden Beginner's Guide
Everything you need to know to start your Grow a Garden farm.
1. Getting started
Head to Sam's Seed Stall to buy your first seeds. Start with cheap crops like Carrots and Strawberries. Before you spend, check the seed stock to see what the shop is rotating through today, and the crop price list to see what each seed is worth when it comes out of the ground.
2. Understanding crop types
Single-Harvest crops can only be harvested once. Multi-Harvest crops can be harvested multiple times, which makes them far better value over a long session โ most of the top-earning crops are Multi. The crop tier list ranks every crop by base value and marks which ones are worth working towards.
3. Making money
Sell your harvested crops at Steven's Sell Stuff Stand. Raw base value alone does not tell you what is worth farming โ seed cost and grow time matter just as much, so use the profit calculator to see which crops actually pay per hour rather than per harvest.
4. Mutations
Crops can mutate under special conditions like rain, storms, or bee swarms. Mutated crops are worth more โ often a lot more, with the rarest multipliers running into the hundreds. Browse the full mutation list for every multiplier and how to trigger it, or use the mutation value calculator to see what a mutation does to the specific crop you are growing.
5. Pets
Pets are a separate economy from crops โ they cannot be sold to the shop at all, only traded. Each one has an ability that speeds up your farm. Compare them in the pet values and tier list, and check what a trade is actually worth before you accept it with the trade calculator.
